Iceni girls water polo starts its 2014 monthly training schedule this Sunday 9th February at Felsted School Pool. Meeting time is 1.30pm and collection at 3pm.
Iceni training is aimed at all swimming and water polo clubs across the Region. The monthly sessions offer coaching & development for girls of any age who already play water polo or would like to try this exciting sport. You don’t need any previous water polo experience – that’s what the Iceni qualified coaches will give you.
On the other hand, if you are already training with a local water polo club, Iceni will give you an extra opportunity to train with other girls in a programme specifically tailored for female players. Of course these monthly training sessions aren’t enough on their own to give you full coaching and development. Think of them as a vitamin supplement – you also need the balanced diet offered by local water polo clubs and Regional Training Centres!
Our objective is to develop a talent pool of female water polo players who will represent East Region in competitions including the ASA Inter-Regional Championships and the British Water Polo League. We will also enter the London water polo league and other suitable events to gain match experience.
So please come along to Felsted School Pool at 1.30pm on Sunday 9th February. There is plenty of free parking by the pool, which is next to the playing fields on Stebbing Road. For further directions see
