Last night our Under 15s played their Eastern Waterpolo League away match against the Paddock Piranahs u15s at Bishops Storford. I would like to congratulate all of players who secured a 10-4 victory.
Piranahs took an early lead in the 1st quarter going 1-0 up, then SC torpedoes pulled one back
with Conall scoring the first of his six goals. The first quarter finished 1-1.
Into the 2nd quarter with three more goals from Conall with only one in reply from the Piranahs saw the Torpedoes have a 4-2 lead at half time.
Then Conall continued to lead the way in the third quarter scoring two more making his total for the match six, before the other players began to find the back of the net.
After many chances hitting the goal posts and being denied by good keeping by the Piranah’s goal keeper Jess got her goal then followed by a brace of goals from Rufus. End of the third quarter Torpedoes had a 9-3 lead.
Final quarter played out with chances being missed or saved by both sides then Robert got the Torpedoes final goal, followed by a reply from the Piranahs leaving Torpedoes 10-4 winners.
Both sides played good water polo, in a friendly and competitive spirit, and it was pleasing to hear the Piranah’s organisers commenting ‘that is was a good clean game and joy to referee’ .

Once the results are ratified by the league (could take a couple of weeks) they will be posted on Fixtures Live and the league table will be updated.

So well done to all the players and next up for our U15s team is home to a Colchester u15s on 7th June. This could be tougher as Colchester have already beaten the league early leaders Ipswich.
